There are many variables that will determine the mileage interval at which your brakes need to be serviced.  Brake wear will vary depending on how a car is driven, the driver’s braking habits, the type of braking system etc.

Obvious braking problems such as grabbing or pulling, disconcerting noises, or pedal vibration are an indication that some components of your braking system are failing.

The only way to really determine whether a vehicles brake shoes or other defective parts need to be replaced is to have a licensed mechanic inspect the braking system.
